Finesse Team attends Redken Class in Des Moines, 2017 Spring and Summer trends and new product information.
PCI, local cosmetology school tours both salon locations. We enjoy sharing information about our Company and Industry with the students.


Team Finesse volunteers at Meals from the Heartland. Meals from the Hearland is a nonprofit organization made up of volunteers. Volunteers package meals for delivery to malnourished people in Iowa, across the United States and around the world. Check out the link below for your opportunity to volunteer.

Bioelements skin care Educator joins the Estheticians for a morning of education in product knowledge and new techniques.

Mandy Fjelland, Owner/Stylist speaks to ISU marketing classes about the history of our company and new marketing plans and ideas.

Team Finesse participates in Jack Trice Reggie’s Campout. Reggie’s campout gathers teams together to sleep outside in tents, boxes and sleeping bags raising much needed awareness and funding to support child and youth homelessness in our community. This outdoor overnight event provides insight into the lives of people who don’t have a place to call home. Reggie’s Sleepout is one of the most well known community events in Central Iowa.

Denim Donation days! Team Finesse had the option to wear jeans on Thursdays and Fridays when donating $5. We were able to collect $160 for a Nurse Appreciation basket that was delivered to the amazing nurses and doctors at the McFarland pediatric unit.


Continuing Denim Donation Days Jean Days on Thursdays and Fridays. The Team raised $100 for Ames Access Women’s Shelter and $200 to donate to the Ronald McDonald house in July.

Finesse Spa Salon was a collection site for United way food drive- North Ames businesses gathered 213 lbs of food for the local pantry.


Finesse Team participates and volunteers for the Special Olympics.

It’s Nurse Appreciation month, Finesse Team puts together gift baskets for Mary Greely Nicu, OB, and Pediatric nurses, Planned Parenthood.

This month the Team raises $330 during Denim Donation days. The money was donated to the DSDN-Downsyndrome Network.

Thanks to generous and thoughtful guests that were willing to cut at least 8 inches of hair, We were able to donate 109 ponytails to Beautiful Lengths. Beautiful Lengths makes it possible for women everywhere to create free wigs for those that are in need.

We got new towels in the salon and donated our gently used towels to Ames Animal Shelter.


We collected beverage tabs in June, July, and August for The Ronald McDonald House. The beverage tab drive is the largest fundraising drive for the organization.

Denim Donation Days in June and July raised $460 for Ames Area Schools back pack program.


Campus Location participated in the campus event, Summerfest. Team Finesse had a great time handing out freezy pops and polishing nails.


Thanks to our guests by rounding up their ticket. We were able to raise Monies by rounding up for the New Miracle Park in Ames bringing awareness to children in our community with disabilities.

Collecting gently used and new coats hats and mittens to be take to the Bethesda Church to be handed out to persons in need.
